About

A little about me:

I’m a 24 year old girl, living in England, longing for America.  I’ve not always been a masseuse, in fact my first degree was in accounting and finance, but I found it boring so I did a rapid change of track! I’ve worked in a number of different jobs whist trying to find my niche, from sales to a nursery nurse and many in between (though I still make a pretty decent cocktail waitress in my humble opinion) until I eventually set upon massage.

Having now finished my degree in holistic and spa therapies I am embarking upon the exciting world of work with Steiner Transocean and blogging my adventure as I go along!  This was originally intended as a personal blog for just family and friends, but once I discovered (through the process of my own pre-interview research) how little information there was about the Steiner recruitment process I decided to include that information there too, in case anyone else out there likes to be as over-prepared as possible!

If you believe what you read on the forums then to you Steiner will seem like the Devil cloaked in pretty smelling products, but I severely doubt that is the actual case.

YES you will work hard.

YES you will have sales targets.

YES you will be challenged and pushed to achieve.

YES you will be sore.

BUT…it is a job; what more do you expect?  You’ll also be travelling the world on a incredible ship with world-class products…and really that’s gotta be better than a salon room above a hairdressers in Scunthorpe right?

*Disclaimer: Scunthorpe was chosen at random because I like the name.  I have never lived there and mean no ill will to it or it’s people!*
